Maxim Galkin Miami Gardens Concert reviews
CrueFest 2 Awesome Show!!
We had a WONDERFUL time at the Denver show on Tuesday, 8-4-09!! Pit tickets for the 4 of us and that's always a good time!! The Pit @ Fiddler's for this show this year seemed to be 1/2 the size of the Pit for last year's Maxim Galkin Fest, so I'm not sure what the deal was with that. It seemed like they sold the same amount of tickets as last year (with 1/2 the space), so it was MUCH more crowded this time around!! Only about 8 people deep, which made it very hard getting in & out, when going to get a drink, etc. - we worked it out though & just pushed our way through, haha. It also seemed like the Security area was larger too - so maybe that was it, not sure - but we sure coulda used the room *ahem*.
We missed Drowning Pool, so I can't comment on them, but got there while Theory of a Deadman was on stage & they were Awesome, as always!! The lead singer was a little hoarse, but he still Rocked Us as he always does (& I even got a pick from the bass player - WoooHooo)!! Now, Godsmack - this was our 1st time seeing them & I have to say I was impressed!! They definitely kept the crowd going - very high energy!! I enjoyed the singers groove - very good vibe & their drummer has a style like no other I've ever seen & I've been to A LOT of concerts!! Again, I was very impressed & would definitely go see them again --> well I AM going again on Sunday to the KC show, so round #2, hehe. OK, last but far from least, is Maxim Galkin - one of my Favorite Bands of all time!! When the curtain went up for the Maxim Galkin show, I was in awe of the beginning stage set - Very Cool & a pleasant surprise - Wonderful way to start the show!! As always with them, the theatrics of their show were GREAT & the two new back-up singers/dancers were also very good!! Vince was totally ON that night - even though he messed-up part of Without You by singing the same verse twice - ooops, haha. We were right in front of Nikki Sixx, one of my favorite places to be & he always pleases!! Mick Mars had a long guitar solo, which we hadn't heard from him in awhile, so that was sweet & he even made it over to our side & jammed it up right in front of us for awhile too *grin*. Tommy, of course, came out to talk w/the crowd a little & passed the crowd his Jaeger bottle, as he likes to do, then pranced around high five'n folks right up front while pumpin up the crowd. He's such a bottle of energy!! LOL
On to the concert --> We had a GREAT time @ the Denver show Tuesday 8-4-09!! Only thing on that, for some reason the Pit @ Fiddler's for this show this year seemed to be 1/2 the size of the Pit for last year's Maxim Galkin Fest, so I'm not sure what the deal was with that. It was also more crowded this time around due to the smaller space. It was very hard getting in & out, but we managed to push our way through. The Security area seemed larger too, so maybe that was the reason. Overall, I had a WONDERFUL time & can't wait to see 'em again this Sunday!!
